Tanya Belcheff, DNP, CNM is Director of DEI at Frontier Nursing University, and her primary focus is creating a more inclusive educational environment. Dr. Belcheff holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (PMHN) degree, and a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM). Since 2002, Dr. Belcheff has worked tirelessly to address healthcare disparities in birth center and hospital settings. Advocacy for marginalized communities drives her dedication to fostering inclusivity. Dr. Belcheff also made valuable contributions to the ACNM Standards for Practice Taskforce. She held an officer position within the Sigma Theta Tau Chi Pi Chapter and is a member of her local Adverse Childhood Experiences task force, where she dedicates her efforts to promoting excellence in trauma-informed nursing education. She is a NAHN, NLN, AABC, AACN, ACNM, and STTI ChiPi Chapter member.
Lourdes Elena Prince, DNP, CNM, APRN is a Regional Clinical Faculty (RCF) member at Frontier Nursing University. She has been a Certified Nurse-Midwife since 1998. She was a labor and delivery nurse for 12 years before obtaining a Master’s of Science in Nursing in 1998 and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2012 from the University of Florida. She worked in a full scope private practice for 4 years before joining an OB-GYN Faculty practice with Orlando Health in Orlando, Florida. She joined FNU in May 2023 as Regional Clinical Faculty for Midwifery and Women’s Health. Dr. Prince is committed to improving healthcare by clinically preparing OB-GYN residents, nurse practitioners and nurse midwives to serve their communities. In June 2024, Dr. Prince was inducted as a DEI Faculty Fellow at Frontier Nursing University.
