Requests for Research Participation
Access to the NAHN membership for research participation is available for the purpose of academic and practice research that conforms to generally accepted norms and standards for survey research and informs health care leadership, workforce or health services.
Requests for research participation will appear for 90 days or until data collection closes (whichever comes first). The request will be placed on this webpage, once in the NAHN weekly e-newsletter, and once on NAHN's social media platforms.
Note: Some groups may apply for fee waivers; see policy for details.

Making a Request
Access to NAHN membership for the purpose of research recruitment of participation may be obtained by electronically requesting research participation using the below agreement form. Please send the completed agreement and all required documents via email to email@example.com.

Cross-cultural Adaptation of the Self-efficacy to Address Disruptive Behaviors Scale-Revised© tool into Spanish with Associated Psychometric Testing for Validity and Reliability
Dear Nursing Colleague,
You are invited to participate in a research study being conducted by Ericka Sanner-Stiehr and Carli Zegers at the University of Kansas School of Nursing. This study is being conducted to ensure that this survey is accessible to nurses with a primary language of Spanish. Your participation helps to increase equitable access to this survey and better mental health outcomes for Spanish-speaking nurses.
This study involves taking the following survey one time. The questions will ask basic information about yourself, your fluency in Spanish, and a set of 10 questions about your confidence in responding to various forms of disruptive behaviors from other nurses. It should take you about 5 minutes to complete. We are offering $5 e-gift cards to a choice of vendors as a small token of our appreciation for your time. We will ask for your email address to enter you to receive one of 100 of these gift cards.
To participate, you must meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Speak and read in Spanish as one of your primary languages
- A licensed Registered Nurse in the US (including Puerto Rico)

Inviting Hispanic/Latinx Adults to Volunteer About 20 Minutes of their Time to Participate in a Study on Adverse Childhood Experiences

The Research Group on Disparities in Health within the Department of Health and Behavior Studies at Teachers College, Columbia University, in New York, New York is conducting a study. This study is being done to find out what Hispanic/Latinx adults know about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), while also sharing about their background, health status, and stress. We are also seeking to share with you some information in print and via a 6-minute cartoon that you will be asked to watch. Our goal is to increase your knowledge about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). We will use what we learn from this study to recommend interventions to prevent Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and to improve the overall physical and mental health of Hispanic/Latinx families.
- Participation in this survey is limited to the first 250 volunteers
- Study participation takes about 20 minutes of your time
- Those who complete the survey will have a 3 in 250 chance of winning 1 of 3 $100 Amazon gift cards
