What is HHCI?

Hispanic Health Care International is the official journal of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses. This peer-reviewed journal serves as an interdisciplinary forum for the dissemination of information for clinical practice, education, research, and policy on issues concerning Hispanic/Latino populations in the United States.

Call for Evidenced-Based Manuscripts

Hispanic Health Care International invites practitioners, faculty teaching in clinical doctoral program, and clinical doctoral students to contribute the following types of articles evidenced-based practice and research:

Case Studies. Case studies are major articles that demonstrate clinical excellence and application of evidence-based practice.   Articles may address any aspect of clinical care from prevention through acute illness to rehabilitation and palliative care. Submissions should present the step by step process of clinical decision making and address available evidence on epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, evaluation and management, and therapy or interventions.  An abstract of 200 words or less required. Desired length is 8-24 manuscript pages.

Literature Reviews.  Reviews provide insightful summaries of the most important research on the selected topic and draw clear conclusions with implication for practice.   Articles should be 4-8 manuscript pages.

Brief Reports. Brief reports are concise articles that are 4-8 manuscript pages.
