Our mission is to better the level of education to the nurses in the valley and provide a way for networking. We encourage all nurses to join our chapter and offer volunteer services to our Hispanic community. The Los Angeles Chapter has the largest membership of all the chapters of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses™. We are proud of our active board members who work diligently throughout their term to provide our local members with opportunities to enhance their professional image and leadership skills through participation on health and community committees. Membership is open to all nurses, nursing students and those interested in nursing. Our chapter is designed and committed to the improvement of health and quality nursing care for all consumers. Chapter membership is open to Hispanic RNs, LVNs, and nursing students seeking educational and leadership opportunities and advocacy from Hispanic role models. Membership is also open to non-Hispanic nurses and non-nursing associates interested in the promotion of health care in the Hispanic community. Chapter President: Cabiria (Bea) Lizarraga, RN Our goal is to grow the community of Hispanic Nurses in the SF/Bay area through networking, outreach, community service, and training. Our membership is open to nurses from all racial/ethnic backgrounds and educational levels including CNA, LVN, RN, MSN, PhD, DPN, students, and supporters of nurses including MSWs, MFTs, and non-nursing professions). We work in partnership with community leaders to provide education and projects to the Hispanic community in a bicultural & bilingual manner using evidence based practices. We work particularly closely with the Bay Area nursing universities and hold monthly meetings using conference calls and online video chat.
